NEW REGULATION FOR REPEAT OF SUBJECT
Assalamualaikum & Good day
To our valued students,
Please be informed that Senate of the University in its Meeting No. 132 has abolished Regulations No 6 Part III on Repeat of Subject with immediate effect as below:-
PART III
Repeat of Subject
8. (a) A student may be allowed to repeat a subject up to a maximum of two times.
(b) A student who has failed a subject more than two times will not be allowed to repeat the subject. However he may appeal to the President, whose decision on the matter shall be final.
9. Where a student has repeated a subject, only the best grade shall be taken into account for the computation of the Cumulative Grade Point Average.
10. In the case where a student is required to repeat a subject, he shall be required to re-do the entire course work and examinations for that particular subject.
Thus, you are not limited to repeat one particular subject.
However, for Intensive English Language Programme (IELP), the Termination of Student Candidature will be based on the attendance for lectures as below:-
For IELP programme, there is no limit for the repeating of subject registration. Termination of students will be based on their attendance; final warning will be given if the attendance is below 80% for the first time and termination for the second time.
